Heather joined our practice in August 2019, after filling in for a year-long maternity leave at another practice, to replace Pier Anne who moved out of province. Heather completed her Dental Hygiene Diploma at Dalhousie University in 2018, along with her College of Dental Hygienists of NS Self-Initiation Course and her Local Anesthesia Course. Heather has her Orthodontic Certification, and 2023 took on the role of Orthodontic Clinical Coordinator. In her spare time, Heather enjoys exercising, spending time outside with friends and family and trying out new coffee shops! She is gentle and kind, and we are pleased to have Heather as part of the Bridgeview Dental team.

Roxana - Hygienist & Orthodontics

Roxana filled in as our second dental hygienist while Melanie was on maternity leave in 2012. We liked her so much, we asked her to stay on in a permanent position after Mel returned. Roxana is an honours graduate of the Dental Hygiene program at Cambrain College in Sudbury, Ontario. She has over ten years experience working as a hygienist and also has orthodontic and children’s dentistry experience. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, is friendly and professional and looks forward to providing excellent oral care to our patients. Roxy completed the CD HNS Self-Initiation course in 2010 and in 2015 obtained her Local Anesthesia Certification for the Dental Hygienist. She obtained her Orthodontic Certification in 2016 through the International Association for Orthodontics and collaborates in keeping our orthodontic charts up to date. In her spare time, Roxana enjoys spending time with family and their dog Carly.

Lisa - Hygienist & Orthodontics

Lisa became part of the Bridgeview Dental family in January 2021, as Melanie moved into her permanent Clinical Coordinator position in orthodontics, and quickly became a favourite for our patients. Known for her sweet, kind, gentle manner and touch, Lisa is fantastic at calming nervous patients. A 2004 honours graduate of Durham University College in Oshawa, Ontario, she also completed the CDHNS course to Self-Initiate in 2010. She has held an active license to practice in Ontario, PEI and finally Nova Scotia, where her heart truly lies. With 17 years of experience working as a dental hygienist, she also has pediatric, implant and orthodontic dentistry experience. In 2023, she obtained her Orthodontic Certification. In her spare time, she loves being with her family, friends, playing the piano and enjoying nature. We are thrilled to have Lisa as part of our team.

Larissa - Hygienist

Larissa hails from New Brunswick and joined our team in 2023, after graduating from Dalhousie with her Diploma in Dental Hygiene. She has returned to university at Dal for one additional year, to complete her Degree in Dental Hygiene, so will be seeing patients part-time on Wednesday and Friday afternoons until the end of 2023, and then will be working all day Fridays starting in 2024. We are excited to have Larissa spend her non-school time with us at Bridgeview, and know our patients are going to feel well looked after in her care.

Hannah - Hygienist

Hannah was born and raised in Cape Breton, NS and travelled to Ottawa, ON where she completed her Advanced Diploma of Dental Hygiene, at the Canadian National Institute of Health in Ottawa. She also has her College of Dental Hygiene of Nova Scotia Self-Initiation course. Hannah moved back to Cape Breton where she practiced as a RDH, soon realizing she missed the city. Hannah now resides in Halifax where she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cat Luna. Hannah joined Bridgeview Dental in October 2023 as a full-time replacement for Fallon, who decided to not return post maternity leave. We know our patients are going to love Hannah’s wonderful chair-side care.
